Description:
Donated as part of the Aidan O'Hara collection,  Aidan notes "I think this tape is the one I used for my illustrated talk in 1976 for the Irish American Cultural Institute tour in U.S.A. There are a number of short excerpts taken from my tape collection. Also, there are entire songs." The first track is a recording of Aly O'Brien, the grandson of an Irish farmsteader in the St. John's area who was well-known for his knowledge of horticultural practices and the Irish language. The rest of the tracks include examples of songs, stories, and dance tunes recorded in the Cape shore area, including a description of the only people's dancing abilities.
