Description:
Donated as part of the Aidan O'Hara collection, this recording was likely made in the Roche household, Branch, St. Mary's Bay, Newfoundland in 1975. It features a combination of local and Irish songs, as well as some storytelling. Throughout most of the recording, an accordion and percussive sounds (possibly dancers) are audible in the background. Recordings were made on a portable Uher 200 Report IC reel-to-reel.
